So I’m moving on Friday.
Yes, I’m quite excited.
For now, though, I’m in a weird kind of limbo.
The thing I’ve realized is, life (in the West at least) seems to be based on creating attachments. You become attached to your job, your school, your friends and your hobbies. If you’re like me, you’re attached to a phone, a computer, and a TV show or two. It’s all about getting more and more attached to a specific way of life. That’s why everyone says that moving is one of the most traumatic things a person can go through: because you have all of these uprooted attachments.
It’s okay though.
I can make new attachments.
That’s why I’m not Buddhist.
